Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn was born in the United States. Her most well-known role is her part as Skyler White in the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School, before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She attended the British American Drama Academy and studied theatre through Northwestern University. Anna began her career working in the Chicago area theatres for a couple of years. Then she moved to TV and film. Anna had her biggest break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After guest appearances as a on several TV shows and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was placed in Deadwood as Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Also, she starred in the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate demise mirror the last few seasons in the story of Walter White.
