Holly is engaged to actor Danny Quinn. First, she married actor Danny Quinn. In 1991 they married, and two years later divorced. She met Jim Carrey in 1994 during the auditions for Ace Ventura Pet Detective. It was not given to her, however they developed a friendship while making Dumb and Dumber. They got married in the year 1996. They divorced after less than one year. In 2001 she married Francis Greco. He was a Canadian investor banker. The couple was blessed with three sons: Henry, George and Alexander Holly Greco. When she was married to Greco in 2008, she became a Canadian. They divorced in 2014. Holly and her children live within Oakville Ontario Canada. Holly together with her entire family which includes her father Grant and mother Mary created The A Fund, at Hobart College and William Smith Colleges, in 1992 in honor of her sister Alexander. Holly recalled that Alexander was "a child full of dreams and desires". Alexander was only 14 years old older when he died however, he travelled throughout Central America and Europe, and lived in New York City, and Los Angeles. His experiences led him to study architecture and archaeology.

Alaina Suddeth is sister of Kristy Suddeth (Rossville, Georgia) and J. J. Suddeth. Her father is a process technician in Chattanooga, Tennessee.Alaina started to sing when she was three. After a year-long vacation, she sang in the choir for children. Apart from singing at restaurants and in the church, she also sang for holidays, family reunions and other gatherings and anywhere outside of a 30 mile radius. Alaina aged eight, won her first prize in the Southern Stars Pageant Talent Competition. She was then selected to sing on the Kids Talent stage of Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. She performed on that stage annually until age 12, at which point she was crowned the winner of a competition that allowed her to appear on the festival's big stage. She traveled from Orlando, Florida, when she was ten to compete with the American Model and Talent Competition. She was the winner of the competition, beating out 1,500 kids. Alaina was a part of the Georgia Country Gospel Music association's Kids' Group. At age 12, Alaina made her first of many trips to Nashville. She sang at Tootsie's and at other local bars on Broadway. Alaina became the first ever to win Lake Winnepesaukah's WinniSTAR Youth Talent Contest in the year 2009. She wrote and performed various songs, such as Leaving, Set Me Free, as well. Her cousin Holly Witherow was diagnosed with brain cancer, which inspired her to start singing. Alaina had worked at CiC's Pizza prior to her joining Idol. She attended Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe Senior High School located within Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
