Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. She is most famous for her character Skyler White in The AMC show Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She fell in love performing in Preparatory School before moving to Ohio together with her family during the mid-70s. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career with Chicago-area theaters for a few years. After that, she switched to TV and film. Anna had her first big part as Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. Anna continued to be a guest star in a few TV shows and films including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue up to the end of 90's when she appeared in a regular role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. Skyler was her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully, the Deadwood film and other films were also starring her. Gunn appeared on stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in the play Numbered Day. It is which is a series of audio plays. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual end reflect the final decades that were the life of Walter White.
