Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress from America. Her most famous role is Skyler White in her role on the AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. The actress fell in love with acting in the Preparatory school, before moving to Ohio with her family in late 1970s. She studied theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was working by the theater in the Chicago area for several years before trying her luck in TV as well as films. Anna was chosen to play Arden on Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Anna was later selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. In 2000, she was cast in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler is Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was also one of her characters. Gunn was a part of David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production directed by David Schwimmer. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate ending mirrors the last seasons of Walter White.
