Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actress. Her most well-known role was Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. The actress has also appeared as Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting during her time at Preparatory School. At the end of the 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. Theatre studies were at Northwestern University. A semester was taken in the British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago, working in theatre parts for a number of years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood and began acting in TV shows and films. Anna's first major character was Arden, in Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. Anna continued to appear in movies and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of 1990's. Anna was later cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock played two full seasons in Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. In 2008, she was cast as Skyler as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood are also a an integral part of her professional career. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn also played in a 4-part audio-play show known as "Numbered Days". Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on the relationship he has with Skyler are mirrored in the television show.
