Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her most famous role is Skyler White in her role on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series. Her other appearances are Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during Preparatory School, before her family relocated to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre through Northwestern University. Anna had a brief stint in Chicago theatre before moving on to film and TV roles. Anna's first big role was Arden on Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. As a guest-star, Anna played in Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. In fact, it was not until the end of the 1990s when she landed a role in The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was given the role of Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler is Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was another movie she appeared in. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also was a part of a four-part audio play podcast called"Numbered Days. The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and its eventual demise arguably similar to the arc that was Walter White's last years of his life.
