Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn was born in the US. She is most famous for her role as Skyler White on The AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Her other appearances comprise Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting during her time at the Preparatory School. The late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career working in the Chicago area theatres for a few years. She then moved on to film and television. Anna got her first major part in the role of Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. After appearing as a Guest on several TV shows and films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's and was later given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008, she was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad. Sully was another of her characters. Gunn also took to the stage in a David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama Numbered days, which was made available in 2022.
