Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. Her most famous role was that of Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding supporting Performance on a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. In addition to playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward She has also appeared on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. She fell in love acting in the Preparatory school, before moving to Ohio with her family in the late 1970s. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre at Northwestern University. Anna began her career in Chicago performing in stage role for several years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood and began acting in movies and television shows. Anna was selected to portray Arden on Down the Shore in the 29-episode show Down the Shore. She continued to appear as an actor in handful of TV series and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she was cast in a recurring role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood during two complete seasons. She was cast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully and Deadwood are also a the highlights of her work. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the four-part podcast audio drama Numbered days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and final break-up echoes the end of Walter White's story.
