Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. She is best known for her character Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. As well as playing Martha Bullock and Jean Ward, she has appeared in The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant in Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio and she continued her passion for the theatre. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre through Northwestern University. Anna was employed in the Chicago theatre for several years, before taking on film and television parts. Anna got her big break in 1992 when she played Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and Films, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. She also starred in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully was another of her roles. Gunn took the stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in the show Numbered Day, which is a podcast consisting of four audio dramas. The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the story of Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and the eventual end of their relationship mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final years of his life.
