Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. Her most well-known role was that of Skyler on AMC's drama Breaking Bad. She won Primetime Emmy Awards to recognize Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. She went to Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater roles for many years. Then she moved to Hollywood where she started acting in films and TV shows. Anna was chosen to play Arden on Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Anna continued appearing in films and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late 1990's. Then she was cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years in Deadwood's second season. Skyler was the character she played as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully, the Deadwood film, and other movies also featured her. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn also played a part in the play Numbered Day. It is which is a series of audio-based plays. The romance with Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the narrative of Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and its eventual demise arguably mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final days of life.
