Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her character Skyler White in The AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock and Martha Bullock, respectively, on The Practice. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in the year 1968. She fell in love acting in the Preparatory school, after which she moved to Ohio together with her family during the mid-70s. The theatre studies she pursued were through Northwestern University. A semester was completed in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago-area theatres for a short time. After that, she switched to film and television. Anna's first big character was Arden, in Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. Anna continued to be in film and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late 1990's. Then she was selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. In the mid 2000's she was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler appeared as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully was another of her characters. Gunn has also appeared on the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. The actress starred as the character Numbered Days in a four-part audio show that premiered in 2022. The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise mirroring the same arc of Walter White's final days of his life.
