Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1997 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the music press and bloggers. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of her best-known songs. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. This brought her some attention. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering an instrument in her attic and being awed by the music it could make. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to do music just for fun or as a means of growth but rather, she should explore it. She began writing her own songs. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her favourite songwriters. After her mother said that the songs she wrote might not be famous for her, however, but to encourage people to realize their own value and impact to our world at large, she began performing them publicly. The piano was her first instrument when she was six. She began writing music when she turned nine. The family did not be aware of this until she turned 14. Aurora has never imagined being a famous singer. Her sole passion is to compose music. According to her, the music she writes is the way that she feels everything.
